Ultra Green's new technology uses waste energy in an engine’s exhaust to extract hydrogen from a store of water for use as fuel. Fitted onto an ordinary car, this system reduces emissions by up to 30%.

A new project that could make water powered vehicles a practical reality took a step forward today as clean technology provider Ultra Green, announced a new deal to provide funding for the Electro Hydrogen Generator (EHG) technology.

The new EHG technology, the brain child of OM Energy Ltd, converts waste energy in an engine’s exhaust to extract hydrogen from ordinary water. The hydrogen is then used with a conventional fuel to power a combustion engine.

In September 2005 the UK's Prime Minister commented on the UK's success in attracting OM Energy, owners of the Electro Hydrogen Generator (EHG) platform technology to the UK, which could generate Hydrogen from water using the waste energy in an engine's exhaust.

Since then the scheme has progressed backed by UK Trade and Industry.

A new construction model for popular housing has begun testing at Economic Growth Acceleration Programme (PAC) projects at the Manguinhos complex, where there are often violent confrontations. Hichens, Harrison & Co. was contracted to get the amount of US$17 million to invest in industrial units in the State of Rio de Janeiro. The business transaction will be done through equity (direct participation) and Hichens will be the first partner with 5%.

English company establishes factory in Brazil

UG Tecnologia de Construção, part of the British construction technology group, Ultra Green, is to build its first factory in Brazil, with an initial investment of US $24m. The unit should be ready in six months, generating 200 direct jobs within five years. In addition to this, 600 more jobs will be created within three years through the company’s construction projects. The first of these projects involves the construction of popular habitations in Manguinhos, Rio de Janeiro, using labour from the community.

New Waste Energy Leasing Model Captures Brazil Export Order

British company Ultra Green Group have combined new waste conversion technology with a lease hire model to create affordable waste to electricity units.

The first application is a joint venture with Power Station operator A and G Energia in Brazil where the two companies will site units throughout the country.

Designed in Britain by Ultra Green Engineers and Researchers the units are the vanguard of a series of waste solutions the company says it will roll out globally for remote areas, towns, cities new build towns, hospitals and power stations.
